13 MHz spectrum research

The 13 MHz band is very good here in Melbourne during our mid-afternoons,
with good propagation from Africa, Europe, the Middle East and Asia.

This is a summary made on August 22 2011 between 0530 and 0600, from one of
my favourite field monitoring sites in the Warrandyte State Park, 20 km east
of central Melbourne, at the old gold mining area of Fidler Gully.

Receiver was the Eton E5, 3 m random antenna strung in an acacia bush!
