NEW GROUP: World Shortwave Monitoring

This is an invitation to join a new Group on Facebook. Its primary purpose is to provide an on-line platform for the quick interchange of information about the reception of shortwave broadcasts. This may be in a technical or non-technical capacity.

Content may include direct posts of reception observations (also known as "Logs"), links to monitoring notes at members' personal Websites or Blogs, and Spectrum Occupancy Surveys.

In this context, "shortwave" refers to TERRESTRIAL broadcasting stations in the frequency spectrum from 2300 kHz to 26100 kHz, and EXCLUDES utility, amateur, mediumwave, longwave, TV, FM, remote tuners and internet radio streaming services.

The Administrator is Bob Padula, Melbourne, Australia, a Chartered Professional Engineer, and Broadcast Engineering Consultant.
