Big news! Exciting winter daytime signals in Melbourne!

Winter is here, and our shortest day is nearly with us! Splendid daytime propagation into Melbourne on 6, 7 and 9 MHz (F layer multihop) via long path from Europe, Africa, Middle East and short path (F and E2 layers) from Asia, Pacific and the Americas.
9 MHz  - open all day
7 MHz – open from 0100
6 MHz – open from 0200
This is a summary of selected occupancies found on June 7, 2015, in the time period 0330 to 0400, from a relatively noise-free location in Melbourne's outer east, next to the Yarra River at the Reserve Rd canoe launching ramp in Chirnside Park. (See photo!)
