MANY AFTERNOON SIGNALS AUDIBLE - WARRANDYTE STATE PARK

Splendid reception on June 6, 2015, from a field site in outer Melbourne, during the early afternoon, on  6, 7, and 9 MHz.

It's winter here, with our shortest day fast approaching, and HF propagation is now exhibiting the usual patterns we have come to expect at this time of year, represented by 24-hrs daytime long path reception from Europe, Middle East and Africa, and short path from Asia, the Pacific and the Americas.

This is a summary of notable frequency occupancies in the time span 0345 to 0415, 1.45 pm local, from the Warrandyte State Park, adjacent to the Yarra River, next to Mt. Lofty, using the pip-squeak E5 radio and 2 m of antenna!
