Solar activity remains at a very low level, and the 10.7 cm solar radio flux has dropped to 85. The daily Equivalent Smoothed Sunspot Number has fallen to 27.
 
This means that multi-hop propagation on frequencies above about 12 MHz during darkness or semi-darkness hours over long distance paths will continue to be unreliable.
 
This summary of frequency occupancy in the 9 MHz band may be useful, as noted here in Melbourne across the time span 2030 to 2100 on September 20, 2016.
