Mid-afternoon on July 9 2019 was marked by excellent propagation into Melbourne on the 5,6,7, 9 and 11 MHz bands across the time span 0430 to 0500. The event was monitored from the Westerfolds Park, in the outer eastern suburb of Templestowe, where power-line noise is extremely low.
The receiver was the little Eton E5, with a short antenna of two metres tossed into a bush!
Propagation from all continents was apparent, for complex transmission modes, long and short paths, acknowledging that local time was pnly 2.30 pm!
