Solar Activity continues to remain at a very low level, which means that long-haul, multi-hop propagation over darkness or semi-darkness paths will be unreliable on frequencies above about 14 MHz.

 

The 9, 11 and 13 MHz spectrum is now heavily congested, and this summary of notable observed frequency occupancies in Melbourne in the pre-sunrise window on March 1, 2016 reflects high channel usage in the 1930 to 2000 period.
