State Park, 40 km east of Melbourne.
The views from the summit were truly spectacular, to the Victorian Alps,
Yarra Ranges, and Dandenong Ranges.
I had the Eton E5 with me, and a couple of metres of antenna, and some good
results were produced mid-afternoon next to the Yarra River, at the Witton's
Reserve canoe launching ramp.
Between 0500 and 0600, longpath signals from Europe, Africa and the Middle
East were audible on 7 MHz, and shortpath from Brazil on 9 MHz and 11 MHz.
Here are some extracts of my research:
7210 RUSSIA VOR-Moscow Spanish
7220 ROMANIA RRI Romanian
7280 RUSSIA VOR-Krasnodar Spanish
7360 VATICAN VR English
7375 GERMANY Croatian Radio, Wertachtal, Croatian
9565 BRAZIL R. Tupi network
11815 BRAZIL R. Brasil Central
