Propagation very good at Fiddler Gully, Warrandyte State Park

One of my favourite field monitoring sites is in the Warrandyte State Park,
20 km east of central Melbourne, at South Hill, in the old gold mining
region of Fiddler Gully.

I was there on Monday November 22, 2010, and the Eton E5 with its 3 m
antenna responded admirably with a vast assemblage of signals on 7 MHz, 9
MHz, and 11 MHz in the afternoon period 0330 to 0500, dominated by longpath
propagation from Europe, Africa and the Middle East, and shortpath from
Asia.
