Scientists predict rare "hibernation of sunspots"

Sunspots gone missing!

See this article from Media Network.

Despite very low solar activity, propagation into Melbourne continues to be
very good during the various "windows", with 9 MHz now open 24 hrs for our
winter.

Long-haul multi-hop propagation on darkness or semi-darkness paths on
frequencies above about 12 MHz is now very unreliable, but the lower bands
are good.

In fact, our present winter daytime propagation is excellent!

Regards from Melbourne!
