The early afternoon of February 16, 2019, revealed an interesting trans-equatorial (TE) propagation event, with enhanced transmission into Melbourne across the time span 0300 and 0330 from Asia on 9, 11, 15 and 17 MHz, and the midsummer Asian specialized propagation mode was also apparent for 9 and 11 MHz.
This summary may be of interest, researched at the Westerfolds' Park, Templestowe, in Melbourne's outer east. The little Eton E5 was used, with two metres of random antenna tossed into a gum tree.
