Enhanced propagation on 11 MHz due to increased solar activity

 

Solar activity has risen unexpectedly – the 10.7  cm Radio Flux jumped to 80 (from 70) and the Daily Equivalent Sunspot Number increased to 20 (up from 5).

 

This has been marked by an improvement in long haul multi-hop propagation over darkness or semi-darkness paths on frequencies above about 10 MHz.
