Spectrum Research from Olinda Forest

This is a summary of spectrum research on 9 MHz and 13 MHz on December 9,
2010, from one of my favourite field monitoring locations in the Olinda
Forest, Dandenong Ranges National Park, 40 km east of central Melbourne, in
the mid-afternoon.

The actual site was on the Olinda Creek Rd, at the junction of Management
Road 13, not far from the Silvan Reservoir.

Minimal power line noise!

Good shortpath (sunlit) propagation from Asia and Americas, and longpath
(night - moonlight) from Europe, Africa, and Middle East.

The exotic Asian Daytime Specialized summer propagation mode has still not
materialized!

carries long renditions of classical Chinese opera!
