MONITORING RESEARCH
Solar activity continues to very low, indicated by the 10 cm Solar Radio Flux having fallen to 80, and the Equivalent Smoothed Sunspot number down to 34.
This means that long-haul, multi-hop propagation on frequencies above about 14 MHz across darkness or partial darkness paths will remain unreliable, as MUFs and OWFs drop.
This is a summary of notable frequency occupancies in the 9 MHz spectrum, as researched here in Melbourne on April 10, 2016, in the pre-sunrise window spanning 1830 to 1900.
