Radio Romania International is now using a 300 kW DRM transmitter IN-BAND, nominally on 9800 for its service to Africa 2000-2100 in French and English.
This is causing havoc to other broadcasters in this spectrum region, as the digital spread extends from 9785 to 9815.
Here in Melbourne, this signal is at a huge level.
I have said, and continue to advocate, that HF DRM services should be placed in a new spectrum allocation reserved specifically for this form of modulation.
